Dia de Andalucia (and Leap Year)

Misery tells me I need to put up a post today because I won't have the chance for another four years.

So what. I can put one up tomorrow. No, it seems I need to put up a Leap Year post.

What is Leap Year? Means nothing to me. But mistress tells me that my girlfriends can propose to me today. Er.....I don't think that sounds like a good idea.

Pippadog is not the marrying type. Imagine. If one of my beautiful girlfriends asked me to marry her I would have to say yes and upset all the others, or say no and upset her.

And we all know how upset I have been by those flirtatious young huskies who just want one boyfriend and cold-heartedly ditch those of us who are generous with our Pippalove.

Anyway I'm bored with Leap Year already. How about Día de Andalucía which was yesterday (28 Feb). Every autonomous community in Spain has a special day in the year and naturally it is a holiday.

So I decided to enjoy Día de Andalucía in my favourite fashion.

I lay on my terrace. I sniffed my flowers. I supervised the cooking of the mushroom omelette (courtesy of Jimena and Negrita who are laying scrummy eggs again). I looked for my place at the table. I couldn't find it so I lay down. Then I was tired after all that.

My other side - which is better?

What's down here?

Sniff, sniff

What do you want?

What did I hear?

I am in charge of the cooking, mistress

Where is my place?

Here, I think it is here

Maybe I'll just wait here for my omelette

Tired after all that work

Hasta la proxima

I don't think I'm the marrying kind either. I take after my Mom.

I wish I had some flowers to sniff instead of all this snow! I was fun at first, but it's getting pretty boring. We haven't even had a fire in weeks!

Have a great weekend!

Oh Pippa, I will propose to you. But you must know that I can never truly be faithful to you. But that's okay, because I suspect you cannot be faithful either. We are like the loverdogs of the world.

Sorry, we just read what we wrote and thought we'd delete and try again.

Darling Pippa,
Love you dearly but we would never ask you to marry us. We could never deprive the rest of the canine world by keeping you to ourselves. But we'll always be willing to share our toast with you.

Love T&E

You look good from both sides. I'm not the marrying kind either, not yet anyway.

Do you ever go up to the edge of the table and scrunch your nose against it and make a piggy-snout face? That always makes my mom giggle when I do it and she gives me a little taste of what she has. Just in case you need any pointers.
Love,
Ammy

Hello, Pippa! I just linked to your blog through your comment on Ben's blog. Nice to meet you! You're a very handsome pup. I like the first picture of you...your left side. ;-)
Hope to hear more of you soon!

Pippa,

Both of your profile shots are pretty darn good. We'd be hard pressed to choose. What's with the humans and those place settings? Mom commented on the beautiful colors. We don't get it. We've had several foster kids who would help you out by removing the cloth! Yikes.

Hey Pips, did you get any omlette? Fancy your humans forgetting to set a place at the table for you! My favourite spot to sit is on the floor underneath J1's chair with my mouth wide open cos J1 is a messy eater and is always dropping things. J x

Happy Día de Andalucía day, Pippa! I agree it sounds more interesting than Leap Day, especially if it involves a mushroom omelet, which is one of my favorite things. Ari's a big fan of eggs, too. She tells me she should be able to eat them to help her coat in this dry, winter weather, but I think that might by wishful thinking on her part. Even still, when she's good we make sure one finds its way into her bowl.

Hi Pippa
I'm with you. I have too much love to give so it would be very hard to just have one girlfriend.
I don't know how my mum could have been so silly to think you were a girl. She's feeling a little better now so she hasn't been so stoopid.
Sorry I haven't been around lately. We've been having lots of compooter probs and Blogger is playing up now. I can't access my layout for some reason ???
It's Autumn over here now and the weather is starting to cool a little in the mornings and evenings. It is so good coz I hate the hot weather.

oh Pippa you are looking particularly handsome in those pictures. Yes, Leap Year kinda bores me too, but I do not have so many girlfriends as you I guess.

Your table looks very pretty, roll on the days when we can eat outside I say, a bit of outside table surfing always good from a Dog's Point of View.

We have snow today! Snow and daffodils, very funny mixture.

love and many licks, oooooh and the omelette sounds yummy!

It's hard to choose between your profile shots, since you are so handsome you look great from all angles (Yes Mum's going all mushy over you again!!)
Leap Year!! No-one proposed to me, but I'm kinda relieved about that, I'm aspiring to be just like you and get myself a whole harem of beautiful girls to love hehehe

And to think mom forgot to tell us about leap year. And, alas, you're not the only one without a place setting at the table! I think we need to have a serious talk with our pawrents!
