Picnic .... and guests!!

We all went for a picnic. Master and Misery Mistress do class picnics.

Master parked over by the grass for me to have a short walk, and near a rubbish bin. He parked as far away as possible from the shop so that Idle Misery could get a bit of exercise.

She bought two tortilla and pimiento sandwiches, cokes, a beer for her, and we had packed our own crisps/chips/patatas fritas.

Master got his dust sheet out and put it carefully on the floor so they could lean against the rear wheel.

Misery kept waving our sandwich around. I kept lungeing for it. Nearer and nearer I got, every time she looked away.

And then - Yes!! I had it in my mouth. I was just about to chomp my PippaJaws down on it when it snuck back out. It wasn't the sandwich at all, it was silly Misery's finger and she didn't want to lose it. She didn't want to lose the sandwich either. A bit of a failure there on my part I must say.

Still, I had plenty of yummy chips, and Misery did feed me the ends of her sandwiches.

It was very peaceful and tranquilo. We all thought Misery was never going to get off the dust sheet. She gazed around at the mountains and dreamed of camping.

And then remembered how much it costs a night at camp sites whereas it is free at my finca, so we jumped back in my Landy and headed off up to my finca.

At my finca Master discovered uninvited guests. Apart from the four dead cockroaches in the bathroom that Misery screamed at.

When he was working in MY corral, he sensed a movement. Then he looked down and what did he find?

A C-A-T. A pesky cat. In MY corral. And not only a cat, curled up carefully on one of Master's boxes with a few rags, but her kitten too. She is a feral cat so there was only one kitten, hiding underneath her (on the left). Master and Misery tiptoed around them, and Mistress took some poor pictures without a flash so she didn't disturb them.

When I lived in my corral not a single cat would dare come in there, and any rats that got near were quickly dispatched with a smack of the PippaPaw and a slight shake. Was I allowed in to get rid of uninvited guests? No.

Behind bars.

Really. I swear the world is going to the cats.

Awww Dear Darling Pippa....

How come you didn't even get a sniff of kitty & her kitten? That's just not right...I bet you would have given up the ends of the sandwich that your Mistress gave to you just to get a sneak at that kitty....

*Sigh* If you come & stay with me, I'll let you chase the bunnies I see EVERDAY on my walk...it would only be fair...

Love & Licks,
Randi

ps..I'm going to a pet resort for TWO WEEKS starting tomorrow...so no worries if you don't hear from me, OK...but I'll be dreaming of my Spanish beau...

Darling Pippa,
First - we're shocked! A picture with Misery in it!!!

I think the kitty and her baby are cute- maybe you need some assistants and should keep them.

Going to the cats indeed. Meanwhile, sorry about the close call and ensuing disappointment on the sandwich/finger incident. Hope things look up this week!

oh my J was ok, dear Pippa, reliving all sorts of previous picnics in her fevered brain, jsut reading your report here.....but then you got her anntenna working........a CAT............

she was outta here like a "Cat On A Hot Tin Pippa".......she doesn't like me around C.A.T.s.......

for some beezarrio reason. Apparently I don't behave in a civilised manner, who cares, a cat is a cat, feral or not.

Yum, bring 'em on!

You are looking good Pippa in the pics I meant to bark!

If there's anything worse than house C.A.T.S., we think it's feral cats.

But that's just us -- not everyone shares our opinion, so we'll focus on sumpin' else -- an almost photo of Misery.

Obviously she and you share the same photophobia --only you don't usually wear a hat.

Unfair.

What is it with humans and cats, anyway? It's not like they're dogs or anything...

Princess Pippa, I cannot believe that your palace was overtaken by an IMPOSTOR! Let us know if you need us to help you overthrow the evil invaders...!

Pippa,

The world is going to the cats and my mom tries to take care of them. She just captured two feral kittens last week and brought them to a place where they can be adopted. She also tries to catch the big ones and get them fixed so the population explosion stops...

Ciao, Pippa! Your picnic sounds pretty fun. But maybe go easy on the mama cat and her baby--you do have the Landy afterall. She can only admire it from afar.

Hi Pippa,

First I wanted to stop by and thank you for sniffing around my place some time back. My secretary gets side tracked at times and I have to nip him in the butts to distract him long enough to help me bark. Now he's working on a finca or something like that. Your mum might know something about it.

What sad news about Charlie. He was such a great dog. My peeps are very sad. They hope that Charlie's family is doing alright.

Yes, what happened with Misery? Did she get sunstroke or something and forget at which end of the picture shooter she is supposed to be? :o))

One of our neighborhood c-a-t-s disappeared a little while ago. Maybe it ended up over there. Can't believe a mummy c-a-t and her baby took over YOUR corral and you weren't allowed to straighten things out.

My secretary likes the music.

Better go. sD says he has some plowing or something like that there to do.
