A reprieve

Well, I suppose it has only taken Misery a week to put up a post and not three weeks, so I should be grateful for small improvements.

Now I would like to thank Rocky, Bear and Angel Lacy for giving me an award. Lots of other doggies had got it and I felt I was missing out, so I was feeling sorry for myself.

But now I have it. Thank you for my Arte-y-Pico award. Happy creative Pippa. In my dreams anyway.

Except I am not feeling very creative at the moment. It is warm here. Well, it is only about 30C but it feels warm to me so I am lying around on my cool floor. And mistress puts on my ceiling fan and opens the window wide for me.

It is warmer at my finca in Spain, it is about 35C there, but I can lie outside on my terrace there and it is nice and shady. But I am not there, I am in my Gibflat and we have no outside space. So I have to make do with my fan and my cool floor.

Now. An update on my miserable restricted diet. Mistress came back from a wander down the high street yesterday with a cross auntie for us to share. I think she thought she was going to eat it all herself but I soon put her right. I like cross aunties. I have written about them before. I think they are almost on a par with Toast.

And she was feeling very greedy and fat so she bought something else. They are called Crum-Pets. But I don't think they are pets like dogs are. And there weren't any crumbs either.

She had to put two in the toaster as it will only take two items as a minimum. Naturally, we always need at least two items. One for them and one for me. Or two for me. When they were done she put some yummy butter on them and managed to drop half a Crum-Pet on the floor. hehehehe.

Then she decided she was feeling very full after her cross auntie and so I ended up with most of the second one as well.

Master had one today too. I howled at him so he knew that I expected My Share. Mistress said "Pippa likes Crum-Pets. You need to give him some." Kind mistress (for once).

So things are improving on the tasties score. Perhaps there may even be Pizza for Pippa on the horizon.

Cross aunties? I thought you were talking about an auntie who was cross with you, until you started toasting her. I just can't imagine you guys being so cruel, so it must be some kind of foodable. Wait! I think I saw some cross aunties at the patisserie down the street ... and they weren't mad either.

Darling Pippa,
I remember your post about cross aunties. It's about time they shared a treat with you. Crum-pets aren't toast but close. Or at least I think so.

Good to here that Mistress has been a little less miserly lately.

Congrats on the crums, Pippa. We'll keep our fingers crossed that there is pizza in your future. Ari once found a whole piece of "breakfast pizza" with egg and cheese on it in the woods. That's when she started to believe in magic and benevolent fairies.

We don't get cross aunties or crum pets. We're lucky if we even get a taste of a Bay Gel. And pizza -- nary a crust.

So we are ecstatic for you that you get all those yummy eatables!!!

We think mistress may be a lot nicer than our Mom -- as you know since you visited our blog and saw how quick she was to inflict punishment on our sweet, very sweet, adorable selves.

Woof!!!

Darling Pippa,
Of course I still love you. (Momma has been rather distracted lately and not leaving very good comments)

Stop by our blog when you can. I have an award for you.

I love lying in front of the fan and trying to "eat" the air, tee hee!

Mummy hates crumpets, but daddy and E & J had some at the weekend, but none came in mine or Big Harry's direction, boo.

Hi-Woo Pippa,

We wuv pizza at the Cos-bo too, hawoo hawoo! Glad you liked my post. I think cross aunties would also be tasty there - whatever they are. We always stand by our humes to see if they will drop goodies that we can get. Daddy makes a game that he oops accidentally drops (on purpose tho for us) sumthing tasty that we can get.

Till next time,

Da Cos

I can't believe you put this post up 5 DAYS ago and I just now get to see it! SOMEone's been hogging the computer lately - and it's someone with TWO legs. Hrmph!
You should come visit us, Pippa. I would have a certain computer hog make you her homemade pizza. I never get any - crust or anything - but I'll bet she wouldn't be able to resist you!
Love,
Ammy

I am so glad your tum is on the mend. Definitely time for the pizza test.

oh because I am a new dog on the block, I do not know what a Cross Auntie is. Although I have met a cross Auntie, (when I peed on her carpet!).....but I have a feeling the Cross Auntie you are barking about is a different kettle of fish.

The Crum Pets sound lovely too.

Ooooonie.
