Pippa goes out to dinner

Last night mistress was going to cook pasta and tomato sauce.

I like that, I get all the leftover sauce and some pasta too for my breakfast. But master pulled a face.

I'm not sure whether he didn't want pasta and tomato sauce or whether he didn't want to wait for Misery to faff around and cook it. Sometimes she takes a long time to make sauces.

So master proposed we went to the Indian restaurant at the marina.

Of course one of the most important reasons for going there - apart from providing me with breakfast for the morning after - is that I can lie outside at the table with them. And eat poppadoms.

Off master and I went leaving Misery to jump in the shower and wash her greasy hair and catch us up.

And we had a very nice time. There were a few dogs walked past and I had a good sniff.

I can smell a dog.

Do I know that dog?

But mostly I lay down.

Chilled Pippa.

Hiding from Misery under master's chair.

You can't see me.

Here I am.

But I think next time they need to order more food so there is an adequate supply of leftovers for my breakfast. They ate most of the food yesterday. And I think mistress's title is a bit inaccurate. They went out to dinner. I accompanied them and got a few bits of poppadom. Hardly Pippa goes out to dinner in my opinion.

Waiting.

For poppadoms.

Thank you to everyone who left messages of sympathy for Vicky about my pal Harry. I know she appreciates it.

And I was preparing a mega update to the film project - JB was asking about it - but I wanted to write about my evening out before I forgot.

Apart from that business about not getting your proper share of the meal, you live in the most civilized place on earth. My mom was screamed at, sworn at, threatened with physical removal and called an "...hole"by a security guard for taking me into a bank machine kiosk. Now she has to file all these formal complaints with the bank and the security company. Such a pain. Your town is much more civilized.

I can't wait for the film update! We missed Cannes this year, but there is always another Cannes.

IMHDO (dog opinion that is!) I think your Misery should have called this post, Poppadoms for Pippa.

Mmmmmmmm! Do I love those babies. Poppadoms, not babies.

Your Marina looks lovely, and I liked all your pictures, you are very handsome indeed.

love and many licks, from your pal, Marvin xxxxx

Hey Pippa...

Have to agree with Sophie on the fact that you live in such a civilised place.

Here in Malaysia there are not many places that we doggies are allowed.

Anyways looks like you had a nice evening out with your Master and Misery...

I can not believe you did not get more dinner then that and they did not have enough leftovers for your breakfast.

Darling Pippa,
I need to ask my people to move somewhere more interesting. Here in the frozen tundra, dogs aren't allowed very many places. Though they are talking about taking me to an art fair tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Love,
Princess Eva

P.S. I'll have to ask Momma to google "poppadoms" for me.

Don't you just love it when the humans take you along and share their food. Looks nice and sunny there.

Did you really only get a bit of poppadom? Mind you, that's more than my daddy would share with me!

Hello, handsome Pippa! Sorry we haven't been around in a while (bad human). We've missed you, but clearly your life looks/sounds as delicious as ever. :) Will they allow all of us at the restaurant?!

Why is it that humans never provide enough food to ensure we get full?!

Pippa,
We think poppadoms outside sound like a great dinner. I mean, sure, it's not buttered toast, but it is a lovely night out!

We hardly have any restaurants with outside seating here, so that means Ari only gets to go out once in a blue moon. That's probably an okay thing, since she usually spends the entire dinner serenading other diners.

Hi Pippa,

You are so lucky to get to go a restaurant where you go go to. Here in Houston we don't have hardly any that let us sit outside.
It is way to hot here anyway.
The Mommy always brings her leftovers to me so I guess I can live with it.

Hi Pippa,
Eating out is fun isn't it? What do poppadoms taste like? Mum usually takes our snacks when we go out so we will sit and behave ourselves while she and dad are eating. We see you are chillin' nicely.

Pippa, I wish I were in your paws. I just get plain old dog food and none of the harbor views.
